There is a lesson here. Just because you own the Domain name doesn't mean your ass is covered, you must be the person who pays the hosting companies bills. When his webmaster decided to hold him to ransom he was fucked because the hosting company would not release control of his site to him because his name was not on the contract. Sure he won the day but it will be some time before his site is running at full strength again.
A very unfortunate incident that could have been avoided by not trusting his webmaster.
